The Yarn Harlot comes to town

Stephanie Pearl-McPhee stopped by Craftsman Hill Fibers in Mt. Vernon, OH as part of her book tour and I was lucky enough to get to spend the day with her. I can tell you two things for sure. One, she is even funnier in person than she is on her blog, and two, I haven't laughed like that in a long time!

She is a lovely person and I wish her the best of luck with her tour, and hope she comes back to see us when her next book Yarn Harlot: The Secret Life of a Knitter comes out this fall. Here's what the Mt. Vernon News had to say about her visit.

Yarn Yacht update
I finished knitting, then felted what was once a Yarn Yacht and turned it into something useful. Part way through it's metamorphosis it looked like this

and when the transformation was complete...

A Buttonhole Bag!

That is exciting! Hob-knobbing like that. The news article was great - sounds like she captured the evening just right.

I love the purse too! Maybe you can start taking blog-bids!

I just met Ms. Yarn Harlot myself last night - she's so funny, isn't she? What a special event, her book tour. Glad to discover your blog!
