Spring is bustin' out all over

As they say.

Just this morning I watched a little finch trying to wedge a long strand of dried grass into the bush outside my 'puter room window. Readying the nest. The men of the house are following the instincts of the returning birds. First in the rear of the house

then the front.

What a difference a fresh coat of paint makes!

And a few weeks of warm weather.

Here's where we were at Christmas time

and here's where we are today.

It's a miracle that little tree survived with each and every branch intact.

I suppose I am experiencing the sense of renewal, too. Besides the intense spring cleaning I have begun, my knitting is also undergoing a transformation. Instead of the heavy winter woolens, I'm trying a light and airy lace pattern.

This is Mountain Colors 4/8's Wool in Lodgegrass.

Also, on gigantic #17 needles, a colorful scarf of Mango Moon's Recycled Sari Silk.

And I should have tulips to match this in just a few days!

Busy little beavers over yonder. You are 'Springier' than we are north of you. I'm thinking that the grille on the deck doesn't see it's fair share of USDA T-bones :)What beautiful yarn, that you're using for your warmer weather projects. Love your posts.
