Daylily Revisited

It seems like forever since my last post. So much has been happening. But here are some shots from the 2 weeks we spend in northern Michigan.

Our cottage. In the woods and on the lake.

What I did while the boys got their boats ready to sail. I did a lot of knitting those two weeks. And hit a lot of yarn shops!

Hey! My knitting matches the colors in this old pillow!

Nelson's first time sailing his new-used Laser across the lake. He raced it and did quite well for his first time! Dave's on the left, and Nelson is on the right.

A stormy sunset. The weather varied a lot while we were there.

The sink full of salmon the boys caught one rainy morning in only an hour and a half! This is most of the catch - the other two 14 pounders were off being smoked. There is truly nothing better than fresh-caught Lake Michigan salmon!

The gorgeous Larimar pendant my hubby bought me for our 18th wedding anniversary. He also took me to Windows restaurant in Traverse City for a wonderfully romantic dinner. Such a sweetie!

A shot of the finished bag, loaded with my stuff. I love the way the wool felted all nubby & textured. It felted fast, too! And came out just the size I was hoping for. I was going for retro, but looking at the colors now it reminds me of the daylily in the post below!
