Live or let die?

I keep looking at this blog wondering what to do, whether to update or let the thing rest in peace. Sometimes we get so behind on things that the thought of catching up seems daunting. But I've decided to try.

What has happened since my last post, way back when...

1. I had 7 colds this winter and was sick non-stop from November to March.

2. In February we took a much needed vacation; 2 weeks of sailing, snorkeling, and sunshine in the British Virgin Islands. YAY!

3. I had pneumonia. It was not fun.

5. I made a few felted vases from this cool pattern that my SIL sent me.

6. Nelson had his wisdom teeth removed and saw a second orthopedic surgeon for the torn meniscus in his left knee. We scheduled surgery for after school lets out.

7. I stumbled across this article and was inspired to knit my tree a sweater. I still need to sew it onto the tree.

8. I signed up for an entrelac class which starts tonight.

Felted Vase #1

Felted Vases #2 & 3
All 3 done in Knit Picks Wool of the Andes. The top of large blue vase turned out too wide and the poor thing looked top-heavy, so I played with it and found that by making it lopsided on purpose, it had more personality and didn't look so imbalanced. I also toyed with the idea of cutting a V-shaped wedge out of the top and lacing it back up with contrasting yarn, leather, or ribbon. I may make another one and try this.
