A tote, a cat, and a tree

What do these three things have in common? Yarn. Yes, yarn.

I. I felted my entrelac bag yesterday and it turned out great! It's still pretty wet but here's a shot of it on the drying rack.

I love the way it turned out and am amazed that it flattened out completely because it was so puffy and three-dimensional before. And because of this, it is exactly the same size now as it was prior to felting. Cool! I started another one yesterday. :-D

II. Whenever I need a laugh, I head over to Stuff On My Cat. Today there is a photo of a cat wearing Christmas tree ornaments as earrings, glaring at the camera and looking totally pissed off. Every time I see these cats I think "There's no way mine would put up with that!". But today when I saw Nutmeg sleeping on the sofa (where she's not supposed to be!) I went for it.
She was getting wiggly as I piled them on and a few balls rolled onto the floor, so I grabbed my camera and took a shot before she bolted. I'm surprised I was able to get this much on her. She's a feisty one!

III. I found more treesweaters! They are at Red Sweater, and the artist involved wants to suspend a garland of mini sweaters from a tree, one for every American soldier lost in the Iraq war. She is asking for submissions, so if you knit or crochet and want to contribute, visit her website for more info and a pattern. And be sure to check out the Red Sweaters Gallery for photos of the tree and what she's done so far.

Oh, and speaking of treesweaters, Erika put a new one on her tree, since the old one mysteriously disappeared.
