FOs

I finished the French Market Bag I was knitting and gave it to Chelsea over the weekend as part of her belated birthday gift. She loved it! Here it is prior to felting.

And after felting.

I modified the handles from the original pattern and it really changed the shape of this bag. Very nice. And here's a close-up.

Patons Classic Merino felts to such a wonderful texture. It always amazes me how smooth, even, and professional the fabric looks when it's dry.

I harvested the last of the AeroGarden lettuce yesterday. Don't let the picture fool you, that's a 9" mixing bowl!

It's been producing enough greens for Dave and I to have about two salads a week, plus the all leaves I plucked off and popped in my mouth as I walked by. The plants were getting a bit stemmy and according to the instructions, it was time to let them go. I cleaned the unit which involved removing all the roots, flushing it with a bleach solution, and rinsing, which took about 10 minutes. Then I planted cherry tomatoes. It says they'll ready to harvest in 10 to 12 weeks, which seems like a long time, but what do I know? I've never had a garden before! (Too many hungry critters outdoors.) This is so much fun!
