Oh, the excitement!

I bought a book sight-unseen from Amazon.com because I saw somewhere on the 'net that it had this pattern inside.

I ordered yarn from Knit Picks and it arrived in two days. Yes, I said TWO DAYS! Don't faint. (I almost did.) I had to substitute greens because the recommended "asparagus" was discontinued, and I was lucky to get two skeins of "cerulean" which was just discontinued as well. I'm getting ready to cast on. I don't know why I'm so excited about knitting this, but I am. It's just too cute!

I finished Nelson's hat and I know he's going to see this, but here it is anyway.


Hey Nelson... you like? I'll send it to you on Monday. It looks a little big and I hope it fits, but if not I can fix it when you're home for spring break. Just don't put it in the washing machine - it's wool and it will shrink & felt. (Kind of like what I'm going to do to the Grazing Sheep Bag. Yay wool!)
