Patriot Party

We went to our friends' annual (We-put-the-Riot-in-) Patriot Party last night. It was fun! Dave and I drove through quite a downpour on our way there, kept watching the dark sky and wondering if we should just turn around and go home. But the town they live a mere hour away didn't get hit with the storm so things were dry for a while. It did start to sprinkle later on, but that didn't stop the festivities.

Food and wine were flowing, people were mingling, kids were tossing frisbees and catching fireflies down by the pond, and when the sun finally set we were treated to a fantastic light show. (Next year I HAVE to remember to bring my tripod!!!)
