July 4th weekend

Dave and I spent the entire weekend at the boat. We had cookouts with friends, squeezed 15 drunken sailors people on board to watch the fireworks (We have the best view in the harbor!), went sailing, attended an intimate cocktail party, and had a fantastic meal at our new favorite restaurant. Here's a summary, in pictures.

Our boat at the dock

Sailing to Green Island

The Jet Express, with Toledo's troublesome nuclear power plant in the distance

Green Island - the seagulls love it here

Our friend Tim's boat, Pooka

My pal Scruffy

Sunset over the channel

What morning coffee looks like when you forget to turn the heat on before going to bed

A steamy close-up

I also started a Stolen Moments Wrap with gray Cadena yarn from KnitPicks.

I was able to hold the larger knitting needles and knit ever-so-slowly with the stitches still in my thumb. Those pesky stitches are coming out today! Yippee!
