Free coffee!

Another dull gray sky. I’m trying to remember the last time I saw the sun. It’s been chilly, gray, and drizzly for a week, I think. The lack of sunshine is starting to get to me – seasonal depression is setting in. I am a Summer Girl! I need sunshine! And I want to drive the Midget! ! ! !

I’ve had 2 art meetings this week; one to give a presentation to the elementary school teachers and a second to plan for the holidays. We also replaced the matting and frames on an upstairs display because the paper had warped and it looked a mess. These new frames should do the trick.

Nelson started Driver’s Ed. class this week. It’s 3 hours a night and has completely rearranged our dinner and evening schedule making it impossible to do anything productive from 4:00 on. I just dropped him off and stopped at Caribou Coffee for some beans. I wanted to get some espresso since I ran out today but Sumatra sounded good, too. The girl told me they are having a special right now where if you put $20 on a coffee card you get a free drink. So I gave her $20 for a coffee card, got both the espresso and the Sumatra, got a free decaf cappuccino and have 10 cents left on the card! Good deal! She also mentioned that if I come back & put another 20 on the card I’ll get another free drink. I just might do that! Nothing cheers me up like getting a $3 coffee for free. Of course now that I have all these beans, I could make my own...

Somehow even with this crazy new schedule I’ve managed to add a few rows to my stole.

Oh, and here’s a shot of my finished tote!

I’m really happy with the way it turned out and can’t wait to make another one. Amy has put in a request for one. Maybe I’ll get caught up in time to make one for her birthday (in May)!
