Soap Box Wednesday

I was watching Glenn Beck last night and he did this rant on Hillary Clinton and how 60-some percent of women polled say that they viewed Hillary staying with Bill after the Monica Lewinsky scandal as a "sign of strength". A sign of strength? Are you serious?

We all know someone who has been cheated on, or maybe we have been cheated on ourselves, and when the woman finds out she feels like she was the last to know, and that the entire town knew before her and was secretly whispering and laughing behind her back. Only in Hillary's case, the ENTIRE WORLD knows. Her husband went on television in front of the ENTIRE WORLD and admitted he played 'hide the cigar' with Monica. The ENTIRE WORLD knows of his sleazy escapades. Imagine if this was you. Would you have stayed with him?

My answer is a resounding NO!!! In fact, when Hillary first announced that she was officially running for president, I turned to my husband and said that I have no respect for her because she stayed with her husband after the scandal. No respect whatsoever. In my book she's weak and I don't want anyone who will let someone walk all over them to hold a position of power. She has no strength, no power, or she would have dumped his ass on the side of the road. And that's all I have to say about that.

Besides Glenn I also watch Nancy Grace, and this week it's all about the Anna Nicole case. Why does the media think we need to know every last minuscule detail about her life now that she is dead? I'm waiting to see how long it will be before they tell me whether she preferred Playtex or Tampax tampons. Because you know they will eventually. I feel sorry for her being dragged through the mud like this. May she rest in peace.*

PS. When I ran spell-check, it popped up with the correct spelling of "Lewinsky". How sad is that?

* Next to her son, like she wanted.

I agree whole heartedly with everything you said. And let Anna Nicole rest in peace along side her son.

"I did not have sexual relations with that woman" -- Bill Clinton on Monica Lewinsky

"I'm not going to have some reporters pawing through our papers. We are the president" -- Hillary Clinton commenting on the release of subpoenaed documents.

"The road to tyranny, we must never forget, begins with the destruction of the truth" -- Bill Clinton in 1995

In hindsight, I think Bill was a vehicle for her ambitions, so she 'had' to look the other way.

For that man to look into a camera and tell the nation that he did not have sex outside his marriage, knowing it was an outright lie, is inexcusable. He had to actually synchronize his time, have body guards nearby...

What would you expect...
"It depends on what the meaning of the word 'is' is" -- Bill Clinton's Grand Jury Testimony

I too feel bad for Anna Nicole. Leave the poor woman alone for goodness sake! She is dead. Let it go. I have to feel bad for her young daughter now... she will be harassed for the rest of her life as well. Why? I don't understand it.

Very sad, but Anna lived for the limelight.

Reminds me of little 3-year-old Athena Onassis, daughter of Christina Onassis...

Sadder is Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg being the lone survivor of her family.

Girls grow into women and women get tough when faced with adversity.

Yes, it's true that Anna did live for the limelight, but she also deserves her privacy as well ~ especially in the recent happenings of her life. From the high of giving birth to the low of the death of her son - this is way more than a person should have to deal with in that short of period of time. She got nothing but harassed about the father of her baby. That is her business to deal with. I personally don't care who the father is... why not let her deal with that the way she wanted to? The press hounded her about the paternity testing daily. So what.. who cares. Let them live their lives. Had they done that, she may still be alive today. Maybe, maybe not. Who knows? I felt sorry for her, and I still do. Her name and face is still everywhere. Let her rest. Leave her daughter alone also... (move over sister, I'm up on your soapbox with you!!!)

Right on! Now, when I am emailed 'Support Hillary' I will respond with your posting. You say it best.

And the whole Anna Nicole thing is soooo very sad. This teaches us to be there for our loved ones - if she had had one person she could trust, she would be alive today.
