For the 4th time

At 8:00 last night the snow finally let up and the wind calmed down so Dave went out to snow-blow again. Most of the snow in the driveway had been blown away by the wind, so it wasn't too bad.

The front walk was protected from the wind so this is a good indicator of how much snow we got. It was deeper than what the blower could handle so he had to do the walk twice. (Well, really a 4th and 5th time.) He's 6'2" and the snow is up to his knees, so about 20".

We were supposed to get another inch of snow overnight but I'm not sure how much came down. This morning I awoke to the sound of a plastic snow shovel scraping the front steps, and by the time I walked downstairs Dave had already left for the rink. All of the games for the youth hockey tournament he organized were cancelled for Friday & Saturday so he had to scramble to get something going for today. The Athens teams probably won't be driving here to play, but the New Albany teams might. Depending on the turnout, I may or may not see him all day. But no worries. I have plenty of yarn and soup & homemade bread left over from yesterday, so I will survive!
