You CAN teach an old dog new tricks

We got several inches of snow yesterday and are under a level 2 snow emergency. If you know me, you know that I hate snow. It's one of those things you learn right away; I'm married, have 3 kids, 2 cats, and I hate snow.

Dave is still recovering from heart surgery and isn't allowed to push or pull anything and has been banned from shoveling snow for the rest of his life. He will be allowed to snow-blow but not shovel. Something about the cold and the strenuousness of shoveling makes it a dangerous activity.

So someone had to deal with all that snow out there and that someone was me. I bundled up in lots of hand-knits, threw on my "only for pumping gas" gloves and went to it. And you want to know a secret? Blowing snow is kind of fun! It's like I was telling those billions of tiny flakes to Get The F*** Off My Driveway! But don't tell Dave I enjoyed it or he'll be buying me special snow pants and I refuse to let it go that far.

So today, for the first time in my life, I ran a snow-blower. And I liked it!

Also - It's only 1 degree outside. Have I lost my freakin' mind?

You must stand you ground!I hate snow too when I have to drive in it. We have only had furries so far. I sure hope it stays that way.

Aren't snow blowers fun? I used my dad's when I was in HS to try and plow our court. I stopped when it ran out of gas ;)
