Summer tires

I had an appointment yesterday to have my snow tires removed. I like to make appointments for mid-morning so I can avoid the rush hour traffic, since it already takes me 40 minutes to get there. When I checked in I was told it would take longer than the usual 2 1/2 hours because there were a lot of cars to be serviced. I wish they would have told me this when I called to schedule because I would have chosen a different day. But they always give me a free loaner so I figured I'd just wander around and kill time. Six hours later I still hadn't heard from them. I was bored and had a massive headache so I drove to the dealership and asked what was taking so long. An hour later I was on my way home. This particular dealership always does follow-ups to see how your service went because they like to boast 100% customer satisfaction, and I cannot WAIT for them to call. I would like an apology and an explanation. Did someone have to drive to Kentucky for more tire shine goo? 'Cause seriously, I could have gone without it!

I didn't buy much during my 6 hour outing; a couple of magazines and Stephanie Purl-McPhee's latest book, this cute little skirt,

a back-up cat bed heater for Max (on sale for $10 off!), and two skeins of Patons Classic Merino in the Forest colorway. I think this would like to become something that is intentionally pooled.

Dude! I just realized that the yarn is the same color as the skirt!

I still have my headache today so it's either this crappy rainy weather or the extra-large martini I drank when I got home last night. Oh, and guess what? It's supposed to snow this weekend!

I AM SO GLAD I SPENT SEVEN HOURS HAVING MY SNOW TIRES REMOVED!!!
