Ok, it is allowed to snow now. *

I got my snow tires put on yesterday. (My picture is now under the word 'procrastinator' in the dictionary.) It's such a hassle. But low-pro tires don't do well in the snow, and when you buy a fancy-schmancy car with all the bells & whistles you can't just take it anywhere. A friend of mine, who has the same car, took hers to a quick-change tire place and they screwed up the tire sensors & other high-tech do-dads and then her car wouldn't start. It was a couple of days before the dealership was able to sort it all out and boy was that an expensive lesson! So I sat at the dealership and knitted for 2 1/2 hours and patiently waited for my snow tires to be in$$$talled, and now it had better freakin' snow!!!

By the time my car was done it was lunchtime madness at Easton and I couldn't find a parking space anywhere so I drove over to Joann Fabrics & scarfed up 6 balls of Paton's Classic Wool on sale. It's my favorite for-everything yarn. It used to be called Classic Merino Wool but now the labels say something about mixed sources, so who knows what's in it. But as long as it's cheap & soft & felts well I don't really care.

I can't believe its December already. Christmas will be here soon and I'm just not ready. I've come to realize that with the kids out of the house I'm not nearly as motivated and I don't get as much done. It's like they left and took all the energy with them. Funny how that works. Maybe I should get another cat. (NOT)

When I was out yesterday I stopped at Starbucks to get a pound of their Christmas Blend and tried one of their new Gingerbread Lattes. It was pretty good but the caffeine kept me up and gave me strange dreams. I slept 4 hours then was wide awake thinking about the nightmare I just had. One of my cats had been hit by a car and was seriously injured but still alive. I was trying to get her to the vet but there had been a flood and I had put her in a canvas tote and was trying to maneuver this obstacle course over water to get her to the vet's office. Weird, huh? Especially since both of my cats are indoor-only and would never go out in the rain.

Dave is off on a business trip so I think I'll head out and see what kind of trouble I can get into. Probably not too much since I'm only going to Target, Hobby Lobby, and maybe to the far side of town to try to find a new bead shop that just opened. I'm looking for plastic rings to use on the handles of Dumpling Bags. Yes, I'm a wild one. Look out world, here I come!!!

* But only if it melts within 24 hours.
