The A/C repairman is my hero

We finally have air-conditioning!!! YAY! It was one thing after another, combined with the holiday weekend, so it took 12 days to get our a/c up and running. But now I am cool as a cucumber! The last few days were the worst. Temps in the low 90s and the pollen high. I was taking cool baths every evening, sleeping with the windows open and a fan on, and waking to swollen, itchy, red eyes and a stuffy head. It was not fun. But today ~ hello air-conditioning!!!

My Labor Day party at the yacht club was a huge success! The theme was 'school colors' which migrated to 'back to school' which migrated to 'back to college' so we had a College Graduation Party, complete with Greek columns, beer kegs, and togas. It was so much fun!

I made/bought all the party decorations including a real keg o' beer *hic* and several people helped decorate. We had a toga cocktail party then changed into college logo clothing for a cookout. Afterwards we walked around the harbor and looked at all of the other dock's decorations. (Ours were the best!) Then we headed into the tent, where the band was playing, and danced the night away.

Several people told me it was the best M dock party ever -!!!- so my dock mates already voted me to be L, M, & N Dock Captain again next year. If I'm officially asked I'll do it one more year.
