I am sooo HOT!

I mean that temperature-wise, not it a Paris Hilton sort of way. Last night the central air started blowing out warm air instead of cool so this morning I tried to call our heating/air-conditioning place only to find that they are no longer in existance. My husband is gone, off crewing in the 160 mile Trans Erie (sailboat) Race, and it's Saturday so I had no idea who to call. It reached a temperature of 86 degrees outside today and 85 degrees in the house. I thought about opening the windows but since it was a whole degree cooler indoors and there wasn't a single, solitary puff of air blowing outside anywhere it would have been pointless.

My baby left early this morning to move into his college dorm and I had high hopes of getting the house back in order. I did what I could till the heat of the day slowed me to a crawl. I decided a nice soak in a cool tub of water might help and it did for a while, but now I'm hot again. I am sooo HOTTT!!! The cats are hot, too. They barely moved a muscle all day. But I suppose it could be worse: it could be snowing! Ugh. I feel cooler already.
